Principal Maintenance Engineer

Manage maintenance engineering efforts for Paper Machines, Rewinding and Wrapping departments to provide a safe work environment and maintain equipment reliability. Supervise contractors and mill workforce as needed. Maintain all engineering files and ensure carriers' documentation. • Develop, implement, and manage cost saving projects for areas of responsibility using good engineering practices. • Investigate equipment failures and generate Root Cause Failure Analysis reports to drive equipment reliability through equipment modifications, method changes, etc. • Manage the Preventive Maintenance systems and help direct the Predictive Maintenance workforce. Ensure the correct preventive maintenance work orders are in place to drive reliability and work with the vibration analysis team to make the correct decisions around component repairs. • Ensure all regulatory and safety issues within responsibilities are managed appropriately to ensure a safe work force, protect assets, and protect the environment. This includes managing pressure vessels, tanks, safety valves, etc, crane and lifting devices, chemical enclosures and containments.

• BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering • Mechanical engineering and mathematical skills (steam/air/stress/strain) • Understanding of Accounting and Economic analysis • Verbal and written communication skills • Read Blue Prints / Machine Drawings • Computer skills • Must be able to manage several tasks at once and prioritize appropriately
